About San Diego Triathlon Challenge fueled by Toyota

The Challenged Athletes Foundation’s (CAF) 2025 San Diego Triathlon Challenge (SDTC) fueled by Toyota is more than an event – it is a celebration of movement. Every stroke, pedal, and stride powers opportunities for athletes with physical disabilities; and when we move together, we change lives and redefine what’s possible.
For over three decades, SDTC has been a critical fundraiser for our organization and is known for being a race experience unlike any other, celebrating and honoring inclusivity and equality in sport. This year, on October 26, 2025, we will not only continue the tradition of this beloved triathlon at La Jolla Cove in San Diego, but the entire community is also invited to participate:

San Diego Triathlon Challenge - 1-mile swim, 30-mile bike, 8-mile run

Tour de Cove presented by EōS Fitness - 4.5-hour (three 90-minute sessions) cycle-a-thon

5K Walk + Roll presented by Nike - 3.1-mile family friendly stroll

Jami Marseilles CAF Kid’s Run + Roll presented by Philadelphia Insurance Companies - youth athletes with physical disabilities racing alongside their mentors

While the benefits to sport and movement are widely studied and well known, barriers still exist for people with physical disabilities. The high cost of adaptive sports equipment and increase in travel and participation fees are two of the most prevalent factors that prevent people from reaching their goals and achieving their dreams. Your sponsorship helps us eliminate those barriers and make life-changing impact.

Mission
It is the mission of the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) to provide opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. CAF believes that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence, and enhances quality of life.
